What we collect, and why.

Draft for review. This page hasn't been approved by the business yet, so search engines don't list it.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, delivery address and any notes you add.
  • If you create an account: your email address and password. Passwords are stored as a secure hash, never as readable text.
  • While you browse: a session cookie that remembers your cart and keeps you logged in, and a referral cookie if you arrive through a friend's link. Your light or dark theme choice stays in your own browser.
  • When you pay: an Interac e-Transfer arrives from your bank with the sender's name and email. We never see your banking login or card details.

How we use it

To process, ship and support your order, send your confirmation and payment details, answer your questions, and keep the records tax and accounting rules require. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to get your order to you:

  • Shipping carriers, such as Canada Post, and our shipping software receive your delivery address to quote and send your parcel.
  • Our email provider sends your order emails.
  • If address suggestions are on at checkout, Google receives what you type into the address field.
  • Our hosting provider stores the store's data on our behalf.

Cookies

Only the ones the store needs to work: your session (cart and login) and, if you followed a referral link, the referral code. No advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, generally six years. Account details are kept until you ask us to close your account.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we aren't required to keep.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Who's responsible
